Sept 2017 "Going for Gold" is completed

“Going for Gold” is the third painting that has been recently completed since picking up the brushes again after a break of many years in May 2017. How could I resist not painting the phenomenal dressage team for GB (Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro). I wanted to depict Valego in his half pass, which is breathtaking.  I wanted to transform to canvas his cross-ring movement coupled with his coloring set under the strong Brazilian sun at the Rio Olympics as this legendary GB dressage team win their third gold medal.
