One of the touchstones in my art is the equine form … an empowering presence with a remarkable blend of power, grace and sensitivity

Horses have been my passion all my life, as soon as I could hold a pencil in my hand I drew them. It was not until later in life that I had the opportunity to have my own horses, a dream come true — to be close enough to feel their breath, see their eye, and feel their energy. That lived experience continues to fuel and shape my equine oil paintings.

I paint horses as presence: form revealed through light, movement, and atmosphere — always alive. There is almost always an equine painting in progress in my Barbizon studio—either an original work or a commissioned piece created for a collector.
