Bit of a bumpy spring but looking forward to summer art shows
🇫🇷 Rien de tel qu'un accident à cheval surtout lorsqu'il arrive sur le montoir ! Donc le 14 mars, jour normal, j'étais sur le point de monter le 2ème cheval de la journée MAIS j’ai fait une chute au montoir : os externe de la cheville cassé et une rupture du ligament croisé antérieur et le ligament collatéral médial abimé au genou. HEUREUSEMENT… tout s'est passé sur la même jambe ET aucun dommage à mes poignets donc je pouvais toujours peindre !! Deux interventions chirurgicales plus tard… (a) fière d’être une propriétaire d'une plaque en titane à la cheville, et (b) chirurgie reconstructive du LCA. Avec tous, j’ai bien travaillé dans l’atelier même si la plupart du temps ma jambe a porté une attelle de quelque sorte. Il y a des nouvelles toiles : des commandes, des chevaux et des œuvres inspirées par l’esprit olympique prévue pour deux expositions d’art en juillet 2024 (Paris et Barbizon).

🇺🇸 Nothing like a riding accident especially when it arrives getting onto the mounting block! So on 14 March, a normal day, I was about to mount the 2nd horse of the day BUT and my foot slipped on the mounting block and I went down : broken outer ankle bone and with a ruptured ACL and damaged MCL in the knee. LUCKILY … all happened on the same leg AND no damage to my wrists so could still paint !! Two surgeries later…(a) proud owner of a titanium plate in my ankle, and (b) ACL reconstructive surgery. With all of that, I have been very busy in the art studio (even though most of the time my leg has been in some sort of brace) with new paintings: commissions, equines and Olympic-spirit artwork leading up to two art shows in July 2024 (Paris et Barbizon.
