CSI Jump Bost 2026 [Event Recap]
Horses ~ Art ~ Fontainebleau 🐴 🎨 🌳
Hello !
Four days at CSI Jump Bost (international showjumping) at Le Grand Parquet Fontainebleau … my two worlds came together in the same place.
While my daughter was in the ring, I was living the weekend from the other side of the ring: live painting, exhibiting, meeting people, and eventually stepping into the arena myself for the CSI2 1.40m remise de prix. A full-on four days, in the best possible way.
It was 2 firsts …. I finally had the courage to step fully into the role of Artist at the horse show, rather than keeping the two parts of my life separate … and we also had new show kit for the occasion, for horse and artist with my new beach flag 😊
I also tried something completely new: plein air painting in the middle of an international showjumping event. Nothing stayed still. Horses came and went, riders changed, the light shifted and the scene was constantly moving. It was challenging, exciting and incredibly energising. Three oil studies came out of the weekend, each capturing a different moment around the show.
Saturday brought another very special highlight. I had created an original oil painting for the winner of the CSI2 1.40m Prix Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie*, which I was delighted to present during the remise de prix to Luis Ferreira and Irresistible Caraïbes from Portugal.
It was VERY special to experience an international horse show as both horse owner / horse mom and artist, and just as rewarding to meet so many new people along the way, from fellow horse lovers to new collectors and future clients.
A warm thank you to the Bost family, the CSI Jump Bost team and everyone who came by the stand, stopped to talk about horses and art, watched me paint, and became part such a special weekend.
Best regards,
Jeannine
