One of the touchstones in my art is the equine form … an empowering presence with a remarkable blend of power, grace and sensitivity

Horses have been my passion all my life, as soon as I could hold a pencil in my hand I drew them. It was not until later in life that I had the opportunity to have my own horses — to be close enough to feel their breath, see their eye, and feel their energy.

Horses, to me, celebrate the spirit of individuality … a multifaceted combination of physical power, beauty of form, temperament and vulnerability. Through a contemporary language of color and light, each equine painting draws on different aspects of these elements to bring energy and presence to the canvas and into the space the painting inhabits.
