Galerie 39 Barbizon Exposition (31 jan – 26 feb)

🇫🇷  L'exposition Galerie 39 Barbizon, "Hiver en couleur", sera la première exposition personnelle où mes peintures à l'huile dédiées à la nature / aux paysages seront présentes. Les deux séries, « CovidSkies 2021 » et « Chemin du Bornage, Forêt de Fontainebleau Quatre Saisons 2022 », ajouteront de la couleur aux murs de la galerie. On ne peut pas résister quelques-unes de mes peintures à l'huile équines aussi. La première peinture à l'huile équine de 2023 "Sous La Pluie" sera également dévoilée qui célèbre la belle race de chevaux de trait française, Le Boulonnais (région française de la côte de la Manche).  Il y aura aussi de belles œuvres d'art contemporaines créées par une autre artiste locale, Sally TER-KI-BAT. Comme toujours, il y aura de la peinture en direct. Venez dire bonjour 😊

[ 🇺🇸  Galerie 39 Barbizon exposition, “Hiver en couleur” (Winter in color), will be the first  personal exposition that will feature oil paintings will be my landscapes. Both the “CovidSkies 2021 Series” and the “Chemin du Bornage, Fontainebleau Forest Four Seasons 2022 Series” will be adding colors to the walls of the gallery. I will also bring along a couple of my equine oil paintings at Galerie 39.  The first 2023 equine oil painting “Sous La Pluie” will also be revealed celebrating the beautiful French draft race, The Boulonnais.  There will also be beautiful contemporary artwork created by another local artist, Sally TER-KI-BAT.As always, there will be LIVE painting. Come say hello 😊

Animal Art Paris 2022 (18-20 Nov)

[ 🇫🇷]  Animal Art Paris 2022 du Salon International des Artistes Animaliers contemporains reçois près de 7.000 visiteurs à Paris et Bruxelles chaque année. Le Salon est devenu la plus grande exposition-vente en Europe entièrement consacrée à l’art animalier contemporain, avec une dominante faune européenne et faune sauvage (Afrique et autres continents), chasse, chiens, chevaux…  Le Salon se tiendra au Hippodrome d’Auteuil (Paris 16) du 18 au 20 Novembre. Il y a 50 Artistes professionnels français et étrangers, sélectionnés par le Comité du salon, présents pendant toute la durée de l’exposition (peintures, gravures, dessins, sculptures, photographies, objets d’art et de décoration).  Je serai présente toute la durée de l’exposition avec des nouveaux tableaux à l’huile d’art équin. Je serai ravie à vous revoir !

[🇺🇸] Animal Art Paris 2022, an international at salon dedicated to contemporary Animal Artists, receives 7000+ visitors at the shows in Paris and Brussels each year. The Salon has become the largest art exhibition in Europe dedicated to contemporary animal art, with wildlife scenes from Europe, Africa and other continents, hunting, dogs and horses. There will be 50 professional artists (France and international), selected by the Salon Committee, in attendance during the art exhibition (paintings, carvings, drawings, sculptures, photography, and other artistic creations and decoration). I will be here throughout the art event with my new equine oil paintings and would be delighted to see you again !

Galerie Thuillier “Salon d’Automne 2022”

[ 🇫🇷] Galerie Thuillier, située dans le quartier du Marais à Paris, accueillera son Salon d'Automne annuel du 28 octobre au 10 novembre. La galerie est à côté du Musée Picasso Paris. J'y présenterai 10 peintures dont ma nouvelle série de paysages 2022, "Chemin du Bornage" célébrant les 4 saisons dans la magnifique forêt de Fontainebleau : un chemin entre mon atelier d'art et les écuries que ce soit en marchant avec les chiens ou en montant les chevaux. Les couleurs et la lumière changeantes au fil des saisons sont quelque chose de spécial à voir et, avec ces toiles, à vous transporter sur ce charmant chemin… en prenant l'air frais de la nature et en rappelant la nécessité de protéger notre environnement pour les générations futures.

[🇺🇸] Galerie Thuillier, located in the Marais district of Paris, will be hosting its annual Salon d’Autumn from 28 October to 10 November. It is just down from the Picasso Museum Paris. I will be presenting 10 paintings there including my newly completed 2022 landscape series, “Chemin du Bornage” celebrating the 4 seasons in the beautiful Fontainebleau Forest: a path between my art studio to the stables whether walking with the dogs or riding the horses. The everchanging colors and light across the seasons is something special to see and, with these canvases, to transport you to this lovely path … taking in the fresh air of nature and serving as a reminder of the need to protect our environment for future generations.

Reconnue d'utilité publique, est créée le 31 octobre 1903 au Petit Palais Paris … une exposition indépendante pour promouvoir l'avant-garde et les idées novatrices de l'époque. My oil painting selected. To be included in the salon, an artist can only submit one photo of one artwork for jury consideration. Consequently, I am thrilled and honored that my submission, “Turning Point” of the CovidSkies 2021 oil painting series was selected for the Section: Figuration.

Bonjour! J'espère que vous vous portez bien. Un petit moment a passé depuis ma dernière Newsletter !

Un petit récap sur les événements artistiques

L'année 2022 à ce jour a été très chargée avec des spectacles équestres, de nouvelles peintures et des expositions d'art. C'était la 3e année consécutive que j’ai était sélectionnée pour le Salon des Artistes Français - Art Capital au Grand Palais Éphémère en février. J'ai également apprécié d'être sélectionnée pour le Salon International des Arts de l'AEAF à Galerie Nesle (Paris 6e) où j'ai reçu le Prix de la Galerie Rive Mauve. Mai m’a apporté un nouvel élément « d'art qui voyage » avec la Journée d'Inspiration avec Paard Verzameld Collective avec des croquis en plein air dans le style de l'art équin au centre de retraite De Paardenkamp (Soest, Pays-Bas). De là, certaines de mes peintures ont voyagé à la Wien Art Fair - Vienne, Autriche (mai) et à la Paard Verzameld Storytellers' Expo aux Pays-Bas (août).

C'était agréable de terminer l'été, comme d'habitude, en accueillant ma Galerie 39 Barbizon Expo Arts Equestre annuelle, qui a vu quelques-unes de mes peintures partir aux États-Unis, au Royaume-Uni et en France 😊

Récap sur les créations printemps-été

L'atelier était en feu (au sens figuré) au cours des derniers mois, c'est pourquoi récemment j'ai eu besoin de faire une petite pause. Alors, quoi de neuf? Série de paysages 2022 consacrée au "Chemin du Bornage - Forêt de Fontainebleau (2 sur 4 achevés), quelques peintures à l'huile équines, des créations artistiques en lien avec les épreuves artistiques du Paard Verzameld Collectif, et deux commandes.

• Animal Art Paris, Paris 16e (18-21 nov) Je reviens à l'Hippodrome d'Auteuil avec de nouvelles peintures équines. Une belle période de l'année avec les magnifiques couleurs automnales au bord du bois de Boulogne.

Le plan dans l’atelier est vraiment interessant … des paysages dans le cadre de la série "Chemin du Bornage 2022", des tableaux à l’huile de cheval, des commandes et des creations artistiques font dans le cadre de Paard Verzameld Collective.

Autumn 2022 Newsletter [english]

Hello! Hope you have been well. It has been some time since the last Newsletter!

A little recap on art events

2022 to date has been very busy and exciting with horse shows, new paintings and art shows. It marked the 3rd year in a row to be selected for Salon des Artistes Francais – Art Capital at the Grand Palais Ephemere (Feb 2022). I equally enjoyed being selected for the AEAF Salon International des Arts (Galerie Nesle, Paris 6th) where I received the Prix de la Galerie Rive Mauve. May brought a new element of “art that travels” with the Paard Verzameld Collective Inspiration Day with plein air sketching equine art style at De Paardenkamp retirement center (Soest, The Netherlands) . From there some of my paintings travelled to the Wien Art Fair - Vienna, Austria (May) the Paard Verzameld Storytellers’ Expo - The Netherlands (Aug).

As usual, I always like to end the summer hosting my annual Galerie 39 Barbizon Expo Arts Equestre , which saw a few of my paintings go to new homes in the US, UK and France 😊

The atelier was on fire (figuratively) in the past few months, which is why recently I needed to take a bit of a break. So what is new? 2022 landscape series dedicated to “Chemin du Bornage – Fontainebleau Forest (2 of 4 completed), a few equine oil paintings, art creations in conjunction with the Paard Verzameld Collective art challenges, and two commissions.

• Animal Art Paris, Paris 75016 (18-21 Nov). I will be back at Hippodrome d’Auteuil with new equine paintings. A beautiful time of year with the gorgeous autumnal colors on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne.

 The Art Plan to December is an exciting mix of landscapes as part of the “Chemin du Bornage 2022 series”, equines, commissions and fun artwork via Paard Verzameld Collective.

Equine Art, Galerie 39 Barbizon (23 Aug – 4 Sept)

Just after the Storytellers’ Expo in The Netherlands, I will be again opening the doors of Galerie 39 Barbizon for the annual (4th) Expo Arts Equestre:  a mix of original equine artwork paintings and photography with my friend and professional equine photographer, @CedricMion.

If you love horses, a great way to take “an equine pause” if in the village, going on a walk in the beautiful Fontainebleau Forest or nearby at the “Grand Semaine de Jeunes Chevaux CSO” at the Grand Parquet, Fontainebleau.

Paard Verzameld Storytellers’ Expo (20-21 Aug)

Each horse has a story to tell​.

This summer, De Paardenkamp and Paard Verzameld are jointly holding a unique art exhibition devoted entirely to horses in art. The farms of De Paardenkamp form the backdrop for this international horse art manifestation, the first of its kind.

​Never before in the Netherlands have so many artists with a passion for horses come together at such a beautiful, peaceful location in the midst of nature. Artists from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France [including me] will take you into their world of horse art. 

​Through the eyes of the artists, residents of De Paardenkamp will tell their story. They play the leading role: intriguing, moving, fantastic or subdued. The art exhibition is not called 'Storytellers' for nothing. Through the work and meetings with the artists, you will learn more about these special horses and their stories.

No fewer than 25 international artists will be coming together for this unique, two-day event. A walking route across the farmyard of both Gagelgat and Vosseveld connects the exhibited works, which include paintings, watercolours, drawings and bronze sculptures.

Salon D’Automne Paris 2022, Selected

A very special feeling to be selected for the celebrated 2022 Salon D'Automne Paris. It is very competitive and for an oil painter only one submission is allowed for consideration by jury for selection to be part of this celebrated Salon.

Established in 1903, this historical salon was organised as an independent exhibition to promote the avant-garde and the innovative ideas of their time across the arts. It has precipitated the emergence of the most important artistic movements of the 20th century, Fauvism, Surrealism, Cubism, Abstract Art, New Figuration, Singular Art etc.

Since its inception, works by artists such as Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin, Georges Rouault, André Derain, Albert Marquet, Jean Metzinger, Albert Gleizes and Marcel Duchamp have been shown.

The autumn season for the exhibition was strategic in several ways: it not only allowed artists to exhibit canvases painted outside (en plein air) during the summer, it stood out from the other two large salons (the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and Salon des Artistes Français) which took place in the spring.

Where? While in recent years, the Salon has been held on the Champs Elysée, this year it will be held at the Grande Halle de la Villette.

Salon Wien Art Fair (May 2022)

SALON WIEN ART FAIR will present a number of international artists at Palais Palffy (Vienna, Austria) from 29 April to 29 May 2022.  Vernissage is Friday 29 April 2022 from 18h00 and another one being planned for Saturday 14 May. 

The Palais Pálffy Palace is a lovely venue rich in history. Built in 1357, it is located at Josefsplatz 6, in the Innere Stadt (inner city) district of Vienna, Austria. It was once owned by the noble Pálffy family. In October 1762 it was the location of a performance by Mozart (at the age of 6) with his sister: later, Mozart was reported to have introduced his 'Figaro' to a private audience in the same hall that became named 'Figaro Hall'.

The Salon is being organized by Georges Levy, Directeur de l' Association pour la Promotion des Artistes Indépendants (A.P.A.I.) Le Village Suisse (Paris 75015) et Rose-Gabriel De La Lyre, Commissaire of the Exposition atPalais Palffy, the co-founders of WIEN ART FAIR between Paris, and Vienna.

5 of my oil paintings will be on exhibit including my two new landscape paintings in the Chemin du Bornage - Fontainebleau Forest series 2022. 

This will be my last show until late August as need to get back to the atelier .

Prix au Salon International des Arts 2022 d’AEAF

One time each year, the ACADEMIE EUROPEENNE DES ARTS-FRANCE (AEAF) organizes in Paris, for its members of the Academy, an INTERNATIONAL ART SALON. 

Salon International des Arts 2022 was held at the beautiful venue, Galerie Nesle: the interieur is a beautiful mix of history with a ceiling dating back to 1602 and modern accents located in the heart of St Germain-de-Près district of Paris (75006).

 It was a lovely event with fellow contemporary artists of the AEAF, family and friends including from USA!

 I was thrilled to receive the Prize given by Galerie RIVE MAUVE, partner with the AEAF. With the award, I have the opportunity to exhibit my artwork at the gallery. Galerie RIVE MAUVE (45130 Meung-sur-Loire) is located by the river Mauve just off of the magnificent Loire in former stables of the Cropet Mill (15+km southwest of Orleans).

April Art Event 2022

Art Event next week at Galerie Nesle (Paris 75006) 

Thursday 7 April (2pm) to Sunday 10 April (7pm).  Vernissage Thursday 7 April from 6pm.

Following Salon des Artistes Francais in February 2022, delighted to have been selected to be a member of “l’ACADEMIE EUROPEENNE DES ARTS-FRANCE” (AEAF). 

One time each year,  the AEAF organizes in Paris, for its members of the Academy, an INTERNATIONAL ART SALON. The 2022 edition will be held next week in Paris.

February 2022 Art Events

If you are looking for interesting art events during the wintery month of February in the Paris region, then here are some very interesting ones to visit.

• Art et Matières 91 (Essonne) – 29 Jan to 6 Feb 2022. An annual event held in five different towns in the Essonne department: different locations with different artists and themes. My equine artwork is on display at the Maisse location (centre culturel Robert Dumas) with other painters and sculptures. I will be there on-site Friday 4 February 2022 if you want to stop by and say hello! More information  https://www.artetmatiere91.sitesfp.fr

•  Galerie Thuillier Prix du Jury (Marais Paris) – 4 to 7 Feb 2022. An invitation only event …. different artists are permitted to display 1-2 artwork(s). Vernissage Tuesday 8 Feb from 6pm with the prize giving at 7:30pm.  It is just right down the street from the Picasso Museum.  Come and see which painting to be displayed …. You will not have seen this painting yet as it is fresh-off-the-easel! 

• Salon des Artistes Francais / Art Capital Paris 2022 (Grand Palais Ephemere) – 16 to 20 Feb 2022. An art event NOT to miss ! Four different salons with over 2000 artists. I am thrilled to have been selected by the Society for the Salon des Artistes Français for the third year in the row.  Tickets can be purchased at the link below. Barbizon Village Magazine Feature

It is an honor to be featured in the Barbizon Village Magazine Jan-Feb 2022 No. 8 celebrating 200 years (1822-2022).  This village, rich in history, is an important feature of my daily life. It has been the home for my competition horses at Ecuries Bost since my return to France in 2015 and, since 2020, the home for my family and my art atelier. 😊

I had a wonderful start to 2022 and am very thankful for the continued support from family, friends, the stables, specifically the team at Ecuries Bost, and the public on my journey as a contemporary artist capturing the natural beauty of horses and of life.

Salon Art et Matière (91)

Premier d’exposition d’art en 2022 ! 

Le 46’eme Salon Art et Matière 91 se tiendra du Samedi 29 janvier au dimanche 6 février dans 5 lieux différents (dept 91) selon le style et format de l’art et pas loin de Fontainebleau.

• Maisse – art animalier, peinture, sculpture

• Boigneville – photographie animalière

• Gironville-sur-Essonne – gravure et dessin

• Prunay-sur-Essonne – conférence, photographie, et

• Vayres-sur-Essonne – art et apprentissage, Impro Leopold Bellan, installations

Mes tableaux sera exposer au salon de Maisse dans le centre culturel Robert Dumas (rue de la république).

 Le vernissage du salon de Maisse se tiendra le samedi 29 janvier à 18h.

Les consignes sanitaires seront respectées (pass sanitaire (ou vaccinal), port du masque...)

En raison des dernières mesures gouvernementales interdisant la consommation debout des aliments et des boissons, il n'y aura pas de cocktail.

Le salon de Maisse est ouvert du lundi au samedi (14h à 18h) et le dimanche (10h à 12h / 14h à 18h). 

Salon des Artistes Francais 2022 (Sélectionnée)

[🇫🇷]  Un très bon départ d'année 2022. Je suis ravie que mon tableau à l’huile « Bowie » crée en 2021 a été sélectionné pour le « Salon des Artistes Français » dans le cadre de ART CAPITAL PARIS 2022 au Grand Palais Éphémère programmé du 16 au 20 février 2022.  Il est la troisième année consécutive d’avoir été sélectionnée pour cet incroyable événement au Grand Palais.

  [🇺🇸]  A wonderful start to 2022. I am so delighted that my oil painting “Bowie” (2021) was selected for the “Salon des Artistes Français” as part of ART CAPITAL PARIS 2022 to be held at the Grand Palais Éphémère (16-20 February 2022).  It is the third consecutive year to be selected for this incredible event at the Grand Palais.
